The Orchard is a Webzine [web-based-magazine] aimed at all ages and peoples. Our heart is to equip the people of God and to help build each other up!
In Jesus’ final words in Matthew’s gospel he tells his disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:19). We want to help make disciples not converts!
The Orchard is here to provide you with thoughtful, inspiring and insightful articles, videos, podcasts and anything else we believe will equip you!
Eph 4: 11-14 says that
“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.”
Part of how we’ll be doing this is through regular posts, including;
Monthly Webzine: A webzine is an online magazine. Regular ‘issues’ are published and can be accessed online.
Featured Article: A main article written especially for you!
Big topic: We’re going to be looking at a number of ‘big topics’ over the coming months, asking guest writers to come in and explore something special.
Roots: Roots is a great way for us to take a look at some of the foundations of Christianity. Looking at the things we’re built on and that feed our daily walk. We’ll be doing simple bible studies that explore some of these topics to help us understand our roots.
Podcasts: Great podcasts from great people!
Extras: Any other videos, pictures or extras we feel would be good to share!
Charity Spotlight: Giving a small charity the chance for some of the spotlight! Info on who they are, prayer points and a chance to donate your time or money. A great opportunity!
The Blog: The blog will feature shorter regular posts that will come out in the month following the webzine.
Bible passage: Does what it says on the tin. A passage from the Bible.
Thought of the week: A really short piece on something that’s been inspiring or provoking our thoughts this week.
Nudge: We can’t all hear about everything. Books, CDs, DVDs, Concerts, who knows what else, we think you might like to hear about. Rather than reviewing them we thought we’d just nudge them in your direction 
The Friday Quote: A great quote from someone to provoke your thoughts. These aren’t necessarily Christian quotes but can be anything we feel will enlighten your walk with God.
Tune of the week: Each week, a great song we’d like to share with you.
